If you ever fancied yourself part politician, part spy, part schemer… well, good news: Star Wars: Unlimited – Secrets of Power leans into that delicious grey zone between heroics and skulduggery.
Arriving on 7 November 2025 (with pre-release events starting late October), this sixth expansion in the Star Wars: Unlimited line plunges into intrigue, deception, and political manoeuvring.
New mechanics that change the game
With over 260 new cards, Secrets of Power introduces two major new mechanics and one new token type. The set focuses on operatives, officials, saboteurs, and schemers, characters who lurk in shadows and strike when least expected.
You don’t just stroll into this set; you plot. Secrets of Power introduces Plot, Disclose, and Spy Tokens, each adding layers of nuance to the game.
· Plot is the new keyword introduced in the set. It lets you play cards directly from your resource pile (paying their normal printed cost) during a leader flip, effectively accelerating your game plan mid-combat
· Disclose requires you to reveal certain aspect icons from cards in hand. It’s a test of hand composition and daring. For example, Captain Typho may ask you to disclose a Command and Heroism icon, which you could satisfy by revealing two separate cards or one multifaceted card like C-3PO.
· Finally, Spy tokens make their first appearance. These seemingly ordinary tokens carry the Raid 2 keyword and often bear the Official trait, making them more powerful than their humble appearance suggests.
Expect plenty of plays built around disclosure, political trickery, bluffing, and manipulating what your opponent thinks you hold in hand.
Featured faces & flashy cards
Two spotlight leaders anchor the set: Chancellor Palpatine (Vigilance and Villainy) and Padmé Amidala (Cunning and Heroism). Palpatine’s tools are all about sowing corruption and accelerating plot cards. Meanwhile, Padmé rewards clever timing, forcing opponents to second-guess whether you’re hiding or about to pounce.
Some cards already getting buzz include:
· Furtive Handmaiden. Lets you discard cards to your advantage.
· Corrupt Politician. An ideal blocker in political decks.
· When Has Become Now. Lets you play a Plot early, turning the tables when your opponent least expects it.
Add in units like C-3PO that can disclose itself and return to your hand, and you have a framework for memorable plays and blowouts.
