How I built my Saproling Deck - A fan made guide

Saproling Deck - Thelon and the Fun Guys Well this deck started out as going to be a Thallid deck, so I started with the homelands cards just because I am old school and remember playing them back in the day. Turns out there are not enough of them for a commander deck, and I cannot see a legendary Thallid, so I go for a Fungus deck that produces Saprolings. So the first job is sort through the cards I have and I find I have the following as possible commanders Thelon of Havenwood Nemata. Grove Guardian Rishkar, Peema Renegade So I decide to go with Thelon which will make it a Golgari deck, this will allow me to have my Deathbloom Thallid  in the deck, I add 5 land that produce black and green mana, so its only a splash of Black in an otherwise Green deck.  (Note so far I have plaid two commander games with this deck and both times I had black mana when I needed it) I have noticed that Thelon is a green card, but needs black to use one of its ability’s, that’s fair enough but then Thelon's Chant punishes anyone playing swamps, why would that be? I would have thought that the cant would have worked against a colour that was not part of Thelon, could it be that there is a case for Thelon been Green and white instead of Black or Chant effecting Plains? Anyway my commander decks are made to have themes, this deck is Fungus and Saprolings, I am looking at Baron Sengir Vampire Deck, maybe a Werewolf deck I am not looking for  decks that seem to have lost there flavour for fast acting and very strong decks Having played with the deck twice I think it’s a power 5 when compared to the decks I was up against which were 7s. I did not win as it comes across as a slow harmless deck so I did not appear to be a threat so was not the first on out. So I am happy with the deck and will keep playing it. I do need to play it more before I make and changes to the deck. There are also two or three cards that give proliferate, for boosting counters on the fungus I did not get any out in time during the games so not sure if I need any more adding to the deck. Deck List (current) Thelon of Havenwood – Current commander Rishkar, Peema Renegade Psychotrope Thallid Dreampod Druid Forced Adaptation Raking Canopy Quest for the Gemblades Thallid Shell-Dweller Deathbloom Thallid Strength in Numbers Sprout Molder Hail Storm Elven Fortress – I think this is one of the cards that maybe  cut from the deck Night Soil Spore Cloud Thallid Thelon's Chant Thorn Thallid Saproling Cluster Beastmaster Ascension Trudge Garden Second Harvest Life and Limb Spontaneous Generation Sporesower Thallid Savage Thallid Vitaspore Thallid Fungal Behemoth Sporoloth Ancient Utopia Mycon Sprout Swarm Rot Shambler Boseiju Reaches Skyward Moldgraf Scavenger Green Sun's Twilight Audacity Dryad's Revival Jolrael's Favor Howling Mine Contagion Engine Nevinyrrals Disk Yavimaya Sapherd Verdant Force Verdant Embrace Undercellar Myconid Tukatongue Thallid Thelonite Hermit The Weatherseed Treaty Tendershoot Dryad Sporogenesis Sporeweb Weaver Sporemound Spore  Swarm Scatter the seeds Sarpadion Empires Vol VII Saproling Symbosis Saproling Migration Saproling Infestation Saproling Burst Overgrown Armasaur Nemata.
